Upgrade cutter

The centrepiece of shaping

In most cases, the cutter is the heart of the shaping process.

If the cutter functions perfectly, the customer product is manufactured with its familiar features.

A cutter is often used for significantly longer than 10 years.

Cutter systems - optimizing performance

Progressive developments offer many opportunities for retrofitting existing cutter systems. Here are some key measures that can help optimize performance:

Measurement of the clay column speed using a laser

  • the measurement is carried out by contactless scanning of the clay column advance
  • changes in color, applied structures or additives have no influence on the measurement

Cutting table

  • System for quick replacement of the cutting inserts - settings are retained when changing formats
  • Linear guidance of the cutting wire thanks to more stable guides and better encapsulated ball bushings - to improve component service life
  • Wire cleaner with servo drive via planetary gearbox
  • Scraper for wire cleaning consisting of a "sandwich" element made of spring plate and impact protection - Universally adaptable for a wide variety of clay mixtures
  • Revised cutting table for better disposal of cutting waste - More free space, fewer support options, etc.

Optimized wire redrawing and winding device

  • to reduce wire breaks during production and system downtimes

Push crank table drive

  • with reinforced rod ends

Table drive travel adjustment (radius)

  • by adjustable crank
  • Push rod no longer needs to be moved

Central lubrication

  • for linear guides and ball joint head cutting table drive

New drive technology - SEW MOVIDRIVE C

  • An electronic curve that is stored depending on the format is no longer required
  • The curve sequences for cutting are determined independently by the inverter according to the user's specifications
  • product-dependent changes / adjustments can be easily made by the operating personnel
